A couple of stories I’ve worked on recently includes an energy conservation contest between students at UC campuses, and UC Santa Barbara won with the help of a catchy “Gauchos Do It In the Dark” slogan. The contest is one way UC is trying to mobilize its campuses to cut greenhouse gas emissions and be carbon neutral by 2025.
